Rekorderlig's Midsummer House Review

On a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, myself and my friend Vivien headed to the Rekorderlig Midsummer House located in the heart of East London, overlooking the gorgeous lake. The perfect swedish hideaway tucked up in Victoria Park.

Once inside the stunning mecca of the building, greeted by staff dressed in red dresses with the cutest flower headbands on, giving tokens for drink and food.

An open bar was available where you can enjoy drinks by you guess it Rekorderlig, whether you wish to opt for one of the many flavours including the limited edition passion fruit flavour and/or a fruity unique cocktail mix with the cider concoction. Including the Svenska Cup, this cocktail was a blend of rekorlelig strawberry and lime flavour, vodka, elderflower and fresh lime topped with cucumber and mint leaves. Double yummers.

Out in the open, the garden was beautifully decorated with colourful seating and beanie chairs where one can sit comfortably, enjoy their drink and mingle.

There was a swedish inspired bbq, by Scandinavian chefs from The Disappearing Dining Club serving up a very special menu of Korv med brod – Swedish style hot dogs with freshly made toppings including wild lingonberry (made with Rekorderlig Wild Berries), cucumber relish, prawn salad and Danish Remoulade.

One of the highlights of the day was a Rekorderlig photo booth, where you could snap happy across some beautiful swedish backgrounds. Super fun.

I would like to thank the Rekorderlig team for a perfect day/evening out and their hospitality. Had the best weather too. The sun really showed itself that day. And my it was heaven…
